Friday Journal

This week I learned about different things. Mostly we were cramming everything in because the teachers didn't do their job in the beginning of the year. That happened a lot especially in math. We took a lot of big tests to evalutate where we are in contrast to where we started out in the beggining of the year. In english we had to preform a skit in front of the whole class. I think our group was the most entertaining by far. I can't wait for summer to come! It's going to be so much fun.

This week sucked. Especially when I got my phone taken away for no reason. My parents were out of town to visit my grandpa in the hospital because he has prostate cancer. So I didn't have my phone all weekend. My mom was really worried about me because she couldn't contact me. That was really fun.

This week I learned about insects. I had a big project on them and I had to touch them! It was really nasty. I got a "C" on it anyway. I had a really hard time in math with the new stuff that we're learning. I went to a wedding this weekend and this old lady started throwing pebbles at my head. It hurt really bad, and I wanted to hit her in the head.

This week went by really slow. It was also pretty boring. Today is Friday and I'm happy because I'm going to eat pretty soon. (: I think we're going to either Osaka Steakhouse or Kobes. I'm really hungry. Anyway, this week I learned some new vocab, and we read some stories. I pretty much hate my math teacher. Other than that, its been a pretty boring week.

This week was the first week back from spring break. It was really hard getting up in the morning. We learned about sponges and nasty, ugly, gross parasites in biology. I got to hold an earthworm, that was pretty tight. In math I learned how to solve quadratic equations by completing the square or something. It's really easy. There is only 38 more days of school left, and that makes me pretty excited, I really hate going to school everyday. I can't wait until summer! (:

This week in biology we learned about viruses and bacteria. In spanish we learned about verbs and the proper way to conjugate them. In english, we're reading a book called "How to Kill a Mockingbird." I like it so far. In math we're preparing for F-CAT. In journalism we're learning about layout and design... pretty boring stuff. Lastly, in ECE we're learning how to sing songs and play games with young children.

This week I learned about evolution. My teacher said that we came from monkies. I think that's really wierd because I don't think that humans look like monkies. In spanish, I learned how to speak spanish. In third period we learned about The Odyssey and epic heroes. In math I learned how to factor trinomials, but I still don't understand how to do it. In Journalism we watched Pulizter's Prize. I liked that movie because it had a lot of stories that you don't hear about everyday. In sixth period we learned how to read stories to little kids. We also had to make a flannel board and present a book in front of the class.

This week I learned how to manage my time. It's a lot easier to be organized, rather than be rushed all the time. In Biology I learned about evolution. In Spanish I learned about prepositions. In English I learned about some dude named, Dionysus. In Math I couldn't really learn anything because it was really hard concept to understand. In Journalism, we're watching a movie called, The Breaking Glass. It was a pretty good movie. In early childhood education, we learned how to read storybooks to children.

This week I learned about polynomials and genetics. It was a good week, because I got my braces off! In english we were watching the odessy. The graphics were wack. The movie was okay, though.

This week, I learned absolutely nothing. We had exams all week and got out of school at 11:40. I was pretty happy. We also didn't have school on Friday and Monday. I got good grades on all of my exams and I'm very happy with my grades. :)
